Dr. Lewis has over 20 years of experience in the medical field, specializing in mental and behavioral health as well as substance abuse treatment. He earned his medical degree from the Oklahoma State University for Health Sciences in Tulsa. Dr. Lewis entered the field of psychiatry in 2002.
Prior to joining our team, he spent over a decade in private practice while also working in correctional settings. Dr. Lewis has a diverse clinical background that includes private practice, acute crisis care, residential and inpatient treatment, and forensic care.
Dr. Lewis understands the clinical and operational complexities of correctional mental healthcare. He’s developed a leadership style grounded in empathy, practicality, and a commitment to high-quality care through his work with vulnerable populations. He supports care teams with the resources they need and also helps organizations serve their clients with up-to-date industry standards and best practices.
